Golem Mascot Throughout history mankind has always dreamed about, and feared the consequences of, building himself the perfect slave - a mindless being capable of acting out his every wish, whether it be the repetitive monotony of hard labour, or the mind numbing boredom of doing the washing up! In the 19th century this being was brought to the popular consciousness in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein! In the 20th century it was science fiction that brought us the robot! But there's one such creature that predates them all... The Golem!
